Willard "Woody" Brittain
Willard W. Brittain, Jr. was a true champion and supporter of the National Urban League, not only during his tenure as a Trustee, but long after he retired from the Board. So it is no surprise that his support continues to this day, as several of his friends, former colleagues, and loved ones are bestowing gifts in his memory.
Woody was not only a fellow Trustee of the National Urban League, he was a dear friend and confidant whom we will all miss.
During Woody's tenure on our Board, he was always open to giving his thoughts, sharing his experiences, and providing much wisdom. Because of his vast financial expertise, he steered our organization through a challenging time and helped us to remain a sustainable Movement.
Largely through his support, leadership, and guidance, we are the strong viable organization that we are today. We are accredited through all such rating agencies which we can attribute to what he taught us.
These gifts are a true testament to him, and to his tireless dedication and commitment to the lives he felt very strongly that we need to serve through our vital programs and initiatives.
